A Little Bit about Me

Hi readers! My name is Esther Hope. I’m a wife, mom, and follower of Christ. I wanted to start off this blog by sharing some things about me, my family, and my life.

I’m 22 years old and I got married at 20 years old. I know that was young, but when I met my husband I fell instantly in love and knew this was the man God had for me.

I’ll share a shorter version of my testimony here (I’ll write a longer one later). I grew up in a Christian home with two loving parents that loved Jesus and each other. I have an older sister who is literally my best friend and I’ve always looked up to her. I met Jesus when I was 8 years old. I remember hearing the gospel for the first time at Sunday school and thinking, “Jesus loved me that much to die for me? Why would I want to be separated from Him because of what I did and do?” A couple days after church, I was at my grandma's house sitting in her living room, and I bowed my head and asked Jesus to come into my life. I remember feeling so free and joyful in that moment because I knew I would be with Jesus forever. When my mom picked us up, I couldn’t wait to tell her about my decision. We were at the grocery store and I blurted out, “I asked Jesus to save me!” My mom was so excited for me and I’m sure she was praising God that night!

A few years later, into my pre-teen years, I got into some things online that I knew were wrong. It went on for almost a year. I tried to stop, but I kept going back. It wasn’t until Covid hit that I realized I want Jesus to be Lord of my heart. My parents found out what I did, and that night I rededicated myself to Christ. From then on, I got serious about following Jesus. Now I can’t imagine my life without God.

Here’s a little about my family. My husband and I have been married for 2 years, and we have a beautiful 8-month-old daughter. My husband serves in the National Guard and also works as a civilian industrial engineer. Being a military wife has its unique challenges, but God has used this season to grow me in strength and confidence I didn’t know I had—all of it from Him.

I hope this little introduction encourages you, no matter what stage of life you’re in. We’re all in this race together, and God is right beside us every step of the way. Love you, sisters!! All glory to God!
